Your Role
and What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the delivery of complex projects through the complete lifecycle from Inception to Realisation and Closure. This will include ensuring that the project is delivered on time, meets business & technical requirements and is within the agreed budget. The complexity of the project will require deep technical expertise in project management and a strong level of autonomy working under general direction of the Change Framework.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Taking full responsibility for the planning, analysis, definition, approach (agile, waterfall etc), facilitation and satisfactory completion of large-scale and complex projects which have broad business impact and firm deadlines
2. Identifying, assessing and managing risks to the success of the project
3. Solving problems facing the project based on scope, resourcing, investment where the solution is not immediately apparent
4. Taking a leading role in demonstrating compliance with the Change Framework and ensuring Quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure
5. Managing the change control procedure, and ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off
6. Providing effective leadership to a diverse and large project team
7. Building and maintaining excellent long term, mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders and peers. Has strong communication skills to guide, influence and convince a diverse team and varied range of stakeholders.
8. Creating the business readiness plan, taking into consideration IT deployment, data migration, capability deployment (training and engagement activities) and any business activities required to integrate new digital processes or jobs into the "business as usual" environment.
9. Monitoring and maintaining all required financial records for compliance and audit to all agreed requirements.
10. Managing financial planning and budgeting, and collating required financial data and reports for analysis and to facilitate decision making
11. Managing individuals and teams, allocating resources and a broad range of project tasks as required. Provides coaching, direction, support and guidance as necessary, in line with individuals’ skills and abilities.
About You
12. Experience of successfully managing the delivery of large-scale and complex projects.
13. Experience of successfully engaging groups of diverse stakeholders from Board level down
14. Working knowledge of Project Management tools and methodologies (e.g. Prince2 and agile project management)
15. Working knowledge of agile methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban etc.)
16. Ideally experience of delivering in a hybrid environment utilising cloud technologies, ideally Azure
17. Ideally experience delivering projects in the legal sector
