Job Title: Trainee Cover Supervisor (Secondary Schools) – Ad Hoc Basis Location: Swadlincote (Various Secondary Schools) About the Role: We are currently seeking a Trainee Cover Supervisor to work in secondary schools in Swadlincote on an ad hoc basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in education, supporting students while learning essential skills in classroom management and teaching support. As a Trainee Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and follow the lesson plan. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and support students in the classroom, ensuring they remain focused on their work. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, respectful learning environment. Follow instructions provided by the absent teacher and ensure activities are completed. Ensure students adhere to school policies and procedures. Assist students with their learning and provide general support where needed. Training: All successful candidates will be required to attend a full-day training session at our head office in Lichfield. This session will cover key classroom management techniques, safeguarding procedures, and other important aspects of the role. Requirements: No previous experience required (ideal for those looking to start a career in education). A strong interest in working with young people and supporting their education. Good communication skills and a proactive, friendly attitude. Flexible and reliable, able to take on assignments at short notice. An enhanced DBS check will be required (we can assist with this if necessary).
