This role is in the Shared EPR Team, part of The Health Informatics Service hosted by CHFT. This job is also being advertised at BTHFT and AFT.
Applications with experience of configuring Oracle Health (previously Cerner) electronic patient record system are invited to apply to join the Shared EPR Team which maintains and develops the established Electronic Patient Record system used by 3 West Yorkshire Acute Trusts.
We welcome applications from individuals in other NHS organisations and from the private sector, please review the essential experience defined in the job description. It is important that our team continues to have a mix of clinical, administrative and technical experts and we can support you in developing skills in this fast growing and increasingly critical hospital system.
Airedale Foundation Trust are joining Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust and Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust by using their Electronic Patient Record.
We expect to welcome around 3000 new EPR users in November, and because of this we are looking for applicants to fill a range of clinical, technical and administrative roles in our Shared EPR Team.
The Team manages one of the most complex hospital systems in the UK, building new content, improving clinical workflows and ensuring that interfaces to other clinical systems are operating correctly.
If you already use the Cerner EPR (provided by Oracle Health) or are interested in being part of our team to help improve patient outcomes and staff working practice, then please take a look at the different roles on offer.
The Shared EPR Team is made up of colleagues from BTHFT, CHFT and AFT, and if you work at one of these Trusts today you can still be employed by them and join us.
These same vacancies are being advertised by all 3 Trusts, you only need to apply via the one Trust you would like to work for. Please note, you may receive communication from any of the 3 Trusts regarding shortlisting or interview. The 3 Trusts have a data-sharing agreement and information you submit will be securely held and managed.
We employ more than 6,500 staff who deliver compassionate care from our two main hospitals, Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary as well as in community sites, health centres and in patients’ homes. We also are incredibly proud to have almost 150 volunteers here at CHFT.
We provide a range of services including urgent and emergency care; medical; surgical; maternity; gynaecology; critical care; children’s and young people’s services; end of life care and outpatient and diagnostic imaging services.
We provide community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres. These include Todmorden Health Centre and Broad Street Plaza.
We continue to modernise and invest in our health services to build on our strong reputation. Foundation trusts are public leaders in improving quality in health services. They are part of the NHS – yet decisions about what they do and how they do it are driven by independent boards. Boards listen to their Council of Governors and respond to the needs of their members – patients, staff and the local community.
Foundation trusts provide what the health service wants, yet are also free to invest quickly in the changes to the local community needs, in striving to be the best, and in putting their patients first.
The EPR Senior Analyst roles (for ClinicalDocuments/ED/Paediatrics & Patient Administration Systems / Capacity Management) are part of the core team for the programme and are some of the most pivotal in the Shared Electronic Patient Record Team and are key to the continued success or EPR. The post holder will have a knowledge of clinical process and informatics skills and act as the interface between the clinical and the technical.
The EPR Senior Analysts will be responsible for analysis of current work practices/workflows and supporting process redesign utilising the EPR and will provide a key role in EPR system design, configuration and maintenance. They will work with system users, clinical and digital leaders in the Trusts and colleagues across the EPR workstreams. They will also collaborate with other Cerner Trusts and attend Cerner Special Interest Groups to ensure high quality design and testing of the clinical configuration and to develop future state maps and standard operating procedures for the new proceses developed. The role will be varied and evolve over the lifecycle of the programme.
