Marshland High School has an excellent reputation within the area for the care, support and excellent behaviour of our students. We are seeking to recruit a pastoral manager to cover maternity leave. As pastoral manager you will support, promote and maintain an excellent level of care and wellbeing to our students and ensure the highest expectations of behaviour across our school. This temporary
maternity cover is expected to begin from 24th February 2025 for up to one year. As part of our wider team of pastoral managers, you will have a shared responsibility for dealing with safeguarding matters, multi-agency casework for safeguarding students, review support and progress of looked after children within our school. You will actively promote strong trusting relationships between external agencies, parents, students and staff.
Salary: : Grade G Points 18 – 22, circa £26,841 to £29,321 per annum based on a 37-hour working week (FTE £30,559 to £32,654).
Hours: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time plus 2 weeks) – Temporary Position for Maternity Cover

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Safeguarding - Monitor, communicate and accurately document issues as a member of the Safeguarding Team using the CPOMs information system.
Year Group Lead - Support student transition throughout their time at Marshland High School, subject to your year group focus by supporting transition from primary, through Key Stage 3 and option process for Key Stage 4 and onward transition to Key Stage 5, college and future careers.
Behaviour Management - Investigate incidents involving students in liaison with colleagues, offering restorative approaches to resolving conflict
Student Attendance - Work with Attendance Officer and Senior Leaders to ensure register accuracy, highlight issues, monitor persistent late arrivals, review attendance and contribute to attendance improvement strategies
Promotion of School Values - Comply with the codes of conduct, regulations and policies of the School and Trust
