About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Assistant to join our team at Reddish Hall School, Stockport. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the school's premises, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and implementing risk assessments, contributing to school development projects, and maintaining current systems and procedures. You will work collaboratively with the school leadership team, staff, and external contractors to uphold the school's vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and implement risk assessments, contributing to school development projects and general maintenance schedules
* Demonstrate a hands-on, proactive approach to developing and implementing systems and procedures, while maintaining current ones
* Be sympathetic to environmental concerns regarding all aspects of the school and grounds
Requirements
* Experience of teamwork and working to deadlines
* Experience in facilities management or a related field
* 'IOSH managing safely' qualification (or willingness to obtain)
* Good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
* Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, systems, and procedures
* Computer literacy
