Tower House Business Centre, a family-run serviced office located in Fishergate York, currently has an opportunity to join their reception team.
There is currently a part-time receptionist role available. The starting salary for the position is £12.50 an hour for approximately 10 hours a week. The role is shift work Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 13:00 and 13:00 to 18:00. Additional hours may also become available for holiday and sickness cover.
Qualifications/Experience
Reporting to the Tower House management team, your key responsibilities will be (but not limited to):
* Receive and forward calls through switchboard.
* Welcoming and signing in visitors to Tower House.
* Opening and distribution of internal/external post and collection and preparation of outgoing mail.
* Accept deliveries and arrange collections with couriers.
* Booking and preparation of meeting rooms and providing refreshments as necessary.
* Managing office stationery supplies.
* Liaising and managing 3rd party cleaning contractors.
* Marketing vacant office suite to prospective tenants and conducting viewings as required.
* General clerical duties for Tower House management team.
Skills
We require a well-organised, self-motivated and reliable individual with experience in office and customer-facing roles. Previous experience operating a digital switchboard would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
An ideal candidate for this role will need to be friendly, have good communication skills and a good telephone manner. While not essential, it would be advantageous to also be computer literate with experience of a number of different packages such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
You will need to be confident and have the ability to prioritise your workload and be able to work on your own initiative as well as being a team player.
