Join us as a Business Manager in the Strategy, Planning & Execution team, where you will support and enable the UK Corporate & Barclaycard Payments Coverage business to deliver its strategic priorities (including the Big Picture strategy).
Falling within the wider Business Management team, Strategy, Planning & Execution are responsible for managing, driving and influencing successful delivery of the business strategy. The team undertakes a number of critical activities including; executing and monitoring strategic and commercial initiatives, facilitating key events and engagements with colleagues across the UK, implementing and maintaining a strong control environment, providing chief-of-staff support to the Head of UK Corporate & BCP Coverage and their senior leadership team, and much more.
In this role you will work closely with both the VP Business Manager and Head of Strategy, Planning & Execution to deliver and embed the business strategy, through project management and execution of large-scale internal events and colleague engagements, proactive forward planning for key governance fora, meetings and strategic focus areas, and involvement in other ad-hoc projects throughout the year.
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
* Demonstrated skill at strategic planning and execution with experience in Project Management.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesise complex detailed information for a range of audiences.
* Some events background with/or understanding in planning, organisation and cadence.
* Strong organisation skills and a proactive mindset.
* Effective stakeholder management capabilities at all levels.
* Proactive approach and ability to manage multiple competing tasks.
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of UK Corporate Bank and/or Barclaycard Payments.
* Organisational awareness across multiple areas of the organisation.
* Track record of working across a complex matrix organisation.
* Experience working in Business Management or Strategy roles.

Accountabilities
* Collaboration with business and senior leadership to develop and implement business strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
* Liaison between different business units and functions, fostering communication and collaboration.
* Management and coordination of strategic initiatives, projects, and change management efforts to optimize business processes and strengthen the control environment.
* Improvement of operational efficiency within the organisation including the identification of areas for improvement, streamlining of processes, and implementation of best practices to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
* Development of performance reporting for key metrics that reinforce the strategic objectives of the division and support the external commitments made. Involvement in aspects of financial analysis and budget management, including assistance in financial planning, forecasting, and monitoring of financial performance against targets.
* Support to business heads in partnership with HR on hiring, workforce planning, joiner/mover/leaver actions.
