Role Summary: Our exclusive client who specialise in the design, build and commissioning of HV substations up to 400kV are looking for a Contracts Manager. This is an opportunity to work on flagship HV and renewables projects with DNOs, iDNOs, power generators and other renewable energy providers. Package: Up to 70k vehicle/car allowance and package (25 days bank holidays, pension, private healthcare) Location: Office in the Hertfordshire area. Hybrid split (home and office) with some travel expectation to site when needed Selected Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee civil engineering aspects of high voltage substation and BESS projects Coordinate construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and civil Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to resolve any technical issues and ensure optimal integration of civil works Prepare and review engineering documents, drawings, and reports Ensure project does not deviates from baseline (Time, Cost & Scope). Submit on time, appropriate EWN/ notices to customer Ensure Payment applications are generated and submitted on time Liaising with Contractors in site to agree progress against Pow Communicating with designers and senior management Communicating to identify risks Knowledge and Experience: Engineering Degree or NVQ Level 5 minimum 10 years experience in infrastructure/utilities, preferably in substation/renewables projects Electrical or civil-bias Strong project management and leadership skills Budget aware
