This company is dedicated to producing high-quality products for UK-based customers and has recently expanded its Sheffield facility. As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be based at the manufacturing site in Stocksbridge, Sheffield where you will play a vital role in ensuring that the manufacturing equipment and site services operate at peak efficiency. This is a hands-on role that also offers opportunities to contribute to proactive maintenance strategies through continuous improvement initiatives. Position Overview We are seeking experienced Mechanical Biased Maintenance Fitters with a solid understanding of manufacturing equipment maintenance. While primarily focused on mechanical systems, some electrical knowledge would be advantageous. You'll take responsibility for maintaining the facilities, layout, and machinery, ensuring maximum efficiency and output. Key aspects of the role include planned preventative maintenance, resolving breakdowns of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, and contributing to process improvements across the site. Key Responsibilities Perform planned maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of all tasks. Enhance site operational effectiveness, reducing downtime and improving mean time between failures. Lead and implement improvement plans while monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Uphold all Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements to ensure compliance with company and legal standards. Carry out safety inspections on equipment, including gas, steam, and pipework systems. Assist with new mechanical installations and commissioning for onsite projects.
