Are you an experienced professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring high-quality highways projects? We are looking for a dedicated Contract Inspector to oversee highways works, ensuring compliance with industry standards, specifications, and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Conduct on-site inspections of highways works to ensure compliance with contractual and statutory requirements. Monitor the quality of workmanship, materials, and adherence to design specifications. Identify defects, report non-compliance issues, and recommend corrective actions. Ensure that works are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and environmental policies. Liaise with contractors, engineers, and local authorities to facilitate smooth project delivery. Maintain accurate records, including site reports, photographs, and progress updates. Requirements: Experience in highways construction, maintenance, or inspection. Strong knowledge of highways engineering standards and specifications. Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and CDM (Construction, Design and Management) requirements. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions on-site. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Highways Maintenance, or a related field (desirable). A valid UK driving licence.
