We are recruiting for female Support Workers to join our well-established team in Bearsden, working with “Kate” a young woman with autism and a learning disability.
Kate lives in her own home and has her own car. Kate is seeking support with all aspects of her life, including personal care, taking care of her home and finances as well as developing and maintaining full and active participation in the local community. Kate is very sociable and loves being out and about, she is happy to try new activities. Kate has a real love of animals; she likes to walk dogs and has recently got her own fish and loves taking care of them. Kate is kind, funny and really interested in others.
A commitment to a person-centred approach is essential and experience of working with people with learning disabilities is desirable.
Applicants should be able to work flexibly as part of the team, we provide 24 hour care each day with shift patterns including early shifts, backshifts, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers. Successful applicants must also have a driving licence.
Key provides excellent professional supervision, support and training, including access to the SVQ Framework and a chance to really make a difference to people’s lives.
Join us and make every day matter! No experience necessary! Training and support will be given to help you achieve your full potential.
If you would like to get involved in support work but cannot commit to a contract because you have other commitments, we also have opportunities to join our register of relief workers who provide support based on their availability.
We would encourage you to submit your application at the earliest convenience as we may be able to offer interview at an earlier date to shortlisted candidates.
