Field Services Engineer required to work on the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of switchgear for Marine, Industrial, and Offshore clients (some overseas travel as required). You will be joining an experienced, highly skilled, and motivated team who ensure the safe execution of all Service Projects. The goal is to consistently provide customers with excellent switchgear and ancillary equipment servicing, upgrades, preventative maintenance, and life extension from the workshop, customer sites, offshore, or marine.
Skills:
1. Electrical switchgear operation, maintenance, and fault finding.
2. Offshore or marine working experience.
3. Time-served electrical engineering apprentice.
4. ONC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
5. Protection relay testing, Air Circuit Breaker testing, retrofits of ACBs, MCCBs, and switches, breaker servicing, thermographic survey, partial discharge testing, Oil Circuit Breaker service and test, Asbestos Arc Chute replacement, Asbestos Fuseswitch Shroud replacement, and offshore service and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
1. Respond to customer enquiries for technical support, advice, and future service offerings including quotations.
2. Safely perform service-related tasks such as:
1. Switchgear service and maintenance.
2. Switchgear upgrades and life extension projects.
3. Protection relay testing and upgrades.
4. Switchgear breakdown investigation and repair.
5. Undertaking pre-mobilisation duties, including but not limited to Project Specific Risk Assessments, Method Statements, etc.
