Our client, a leading company specialising in scientific instruments, with a strong focus on applications in energy storage and battery technology is currently looking to hire a R&D Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of engineering disciplines, driving innovation and ensuring the successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects.
The R&D Systems Engineer will:
* Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, models, and test plans.
* Design, develop, and integrate systems that combine mechanical, electronic, and software components.
* Support the transfer of developed solutions into production, ensuring manufacturability and scalability.
* Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing to validate designs.
* Design, develop, and integrate systems that combine mechanical, electronic, and software components.
The R&D Systems Engineer will have:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in a multidisciplinary engineering role, ideally in an R&D environment.
* Proficiency in systems integration and validation involving mechanical, electronics, and software components.
* Familiarity with LabVIEW systems.
* Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, or advanced algorithms.
* Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping techniques (e.g., 3D printing, PCB fabrication).
* Strong knowledge of design tools (e.g., CAD for mechanical, EDA tools for electronics, and software development platforms).
