This post is for 37 hours, and the ideal hours of work will between 09:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday. The start and finish times per day are negotiable however there must be cover for each weekday.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy Outpatient Central Booking team within NHS Borders. The successfully candidate will be part of a team responsible for ensuring booking patients from the Outpatient Waiting List is carried out in line within Waiting Times policies and procedures.
Candidates require excellent communication skills and attention to detail. You will need to be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and have a flexible approach within the workplace. This role will be fully office based, and full training will be given to the successful candidate.
Some difficult conversations will be required as a result of longer patient waits as we continue through the COVID-19 pandemic therefore the successful candidate must be able to act with a high degree of empathy and integrity whilst ensuring that patients are kept informed of their progress at all times.
Full training will be given however candidates will be expected to have a high level of accuracy when typing and a great attention to detail. Management of staff within a fast paced booking/contact centre environment is advantageous.
