Pharmacy Technician Band 4 £29,116 - £31,670 per annum Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 per annum 37 hours per week part time hours would be considered Permanent post This post is in based at the Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced self-motivated technician to help continue exciting work in developing a clinical and patient focussed clinical pharmacy service. You will get the opportunity to make a real difference to the pharmacy service, pursuing value added projects which resonate with you. The post-holder will be one of a team of technicians working at this hospital and will be responsible for services to the wards and within the dispensary including patient counselling and multi-disciplinary working with ward-based pharmacists, medical and nursing staff. The department also employs a number of pre-registration pharmacy technicians so there is an opportunity to develop as a work based assessor and to provide mentorship. There will also be opportunities to get involved in providing a pharmacy service to the local hospice and remotely to the other two hospitals in the archipelago, SACT and multi-disciplinary training sessions. All hospitals in the Health Board are utilising HePMA. Skill development if encouraged through project work and audit.
