The UK Digital Acquisition & Conversion Marketing team is a fast-paced organization focused on acquiring new Cardmembers and generating revenue through digital channels & marketing with a focus on our prospect and customer needs. The Digital Acquisition Manager will play a critical role in the management and continued innovation of 2 core high ROI, “always-on” digital channels to drive continued growth in acquisition volume and improvements in investment efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Grow UK acquisition through activity in 2 paid digital channels: Search & Affiliates, with responsibility across Consumer and small business card portfolios for each – understand channel / product dynamics, external headwinds and new opportunities, and devise & execute strategies to maximize growth and optimize investment.
* Collaborate closely with partners in Marketing, central capabilities teams, and Compliance to develop and deploy targeting & bidding strategies, ad-tech capabilities, and creative messaging to excite and convert prospects, effectively aligning with upper funnel marketing activity, and bottom of the funnel journey optimizations.
* Own the relationships with our external partners and platform managers and scope out new ways to grow and improve channel performance.
* Maintain and execute a pipeline of test-and-learn opportunities to create growth opportunities for the future.
* Lead the forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis for the channels, balance investment across channels to deliver against aggressive plans through a diverse set of strategies.
* Work with colleagues across the acquisition team to drive the most effective prospect experience through the funnel and prospect journey.
* Coach, motivate and develop 3 acquisition marketing executives and support the ongoing development of the wider team culture.
Required Qualifications:
* Proven track record of delivering results in a marketing function with experience of digital channel management either in a media agency setting, or within a marketing team – subject-matter expertise in Search & Affiliate marketing an advantage.
* Demonstrated strategic thought leadership, including synthesizing complex issues into specific plans, using data and insights to drive decisions, and an ability to link to broader business impacts.
* Strong people leadership experience. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver against goals and provide coaching and feedback to support development of team members.
* Experience managing large budgets in a target-driven environment.
* Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management skills.
* Strategic self-starter who is comfortable navigating white space.
* An understanding of the wider digital marketing landscape.
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills with excellent written and oral communication to articulate learnings and outputs and inform future plans.
* Negotiation and influencing abilities, with a track record of building and leveraging relationships with internal and external partner stakeholders.
* Ability to work within a fast paced and deadline driven environment – but one that is very structured with essential brand and compliance processes to be adhered to.
