A Top Tier Legal 100 firm is looking to add to their national digital, tech and data team. Representing an impressive range of FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 clients, public sector organisations, educational institutions and industry bodies, on high-profile, business-critical projects and regulatory matters, the team plays a vital role in helping clients build growth and success. The team also works alongside their US colleagues on international transactions and projects, as well as other member firms across the world on international projects, helping their clients when they need assistance in the UK.
The Team
They advise on high-profile technology transactions, digital transformation, data protection, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies like generative AI. Working with developers and suppliers to help businesses adopt digital tools, enhancing productivity across sectors such as advanced manufacturing, energy, transport, logistics, and international trade.
You'll engage in all aspects of transactions, from contract strategy to regulatory matters, within a supportive, collaborative team. The role offers exciting growth, multi-jurisdictional projects, and opportunities to help Northern and UK businesses expand into markets like the USA and Saudi Arabia, with options for international secondments.

The firm is looking to recruit a Solicitor with 7+ PQE in digital, tech, or data protection from a City or large regional firm, or in-house. The ideal candidate will be a UK-qualified solicitor with a commercial background, specialising in digital/tech or data protection. Experience with complex, high-profile projects such as digital transformation, software licensing, IT services, data protection, cybersecurity, and new technologies like generative AI is essential. You should also be able to analyse related contracts, identify key issues, and propose effective solutions.
