My client is a major, £225m turnover MEICA specialist contractor. They have opened a new facility, and are in the process of building a team to support a >£80m E&I Project on Hinkley Point C.They are looking for a Planning Engineer/Senior Planning Engineer to initially assist with scheduling for design and engineering, with a view to moving on to construction and commissioning as the project progresses. This is the first in a range of expected major project wins for them so there’s substantial opportunity for development in the team. You’ll be working on HPC for the next 4/5 years with a view to moving on to another major Nuclear project afterwards. So, what do you need? First and foremost you’ll be good at using Primavera P6 and you’ll have worked on engineering projects on highly regulated projects previously (Think Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical etc.). You’ll be able to communicate with the team on the ground, run the existing programme and offer challenges & reviews on project efficiency. This really is an integral role for the team, and the opportunity for progression for the right person is limitless.
