Working with the HR Policy & Strategic Projects Manager, you will play an important role in writing, developing and updating a suite of modern policies, procedures and guidance which reflect sector best practice, and which contribute to our Great Place to Work Strategy. You will work across a wide range of areas including but not limited to performance management, employee relations, absence management, family leave, and equality and diversity. This will involve managing the end-to-end lifecycle of HR policy, from research and writing to implementation, communication, and ongoing review. You will develop user-friendly policy toolkits that provide practical information, policy breakdown, FAQs, communication templates and examples of best practice. The role involves engaging with a wide range of key stakeholders and facilitating feedback sessions and consultations to ensure policy and procedures are fit for purpose, easy to follow and continuously improve. You will also be involved in a wide range of strategic HR projects including project planning and reporting on project outcomes.
About you:
* Experience of supporting the development and implementation of HR Policy and/or HR Strategic Projects within a large organisation.
* An up-to-date knowledge of employment law and in-depth knowledge of HR policy and practice, and its implications for organisations.
* The ability to write clear, concise, accurate and professional documents e.g. policy, procedure and guidance.
* Excellent communication and partnership working skills with the ability to build credible relationships with key stakeholders.
* The ability to analyse complex information, form conclusions and communicate these findings clearly and concisely.
* IT literate with proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.) and the ability to use new HRIS systems and generate reports.
* Ability to take a project management approach as required.
* CIPD Level 5 qualification or demonstrable HR experience.
