EHS Associate
Stafford (ST16 - based full time onsite)
Monday-Thursday, 37 hour week over 4 days! Start time 07.15am (some flexibility on this)
Initial 6 month contract - could be extended or lead to a permanent opportunity!
Up to £19.10 per hour PAYE / UP to £25.65 per hour via Umbrella contract
We’re looking for an experienced (1 – 2 years) EHS Associate to support the manager in the design, implementation and maintenance of Environmental, Health & Safety programs and associated policies and regulations.
This is a great opportunity to work with a globally leading Engine manufacturer within an EHS capacity, where every day is different, and you will be given a variety of projects to get stuck in to!
What will you do?
1. Perform inspections and tests planned to monitor specific EHS issues, regulations and company practices
2. Assist in training employees on EHS guidelines, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to EHS
3. Make and maintain necessary EHS records according to established guidelines
4. Contribute to the development of EHS policies and procedures
5. Support site-wide general learning and development activities
6. Support the EHS management with any occupational health requirements
7. Assist with site CSR and sustainability requirements
Ideally we’re looking for
1. High level working knowledge of Microsoft Office - essential to have PowerPoint and Excel
2. Experience of an EHS role 1-2 years’ working experience
3. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is the minimum required certification
4. Member of IOSH is desirable
5. Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies
6. Some or all of the following would be hugely beneficial; PPE, COSHH, Risk Assessments, PUWER, Legal Requirements, Training, Waste Management, Sustainability, Contractor management, Cranes and lifting devices, Incident management, MHE, LOTO and high risk activity e.g. working at height
