We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Modern Apprentice. This role will give you the experience of working on a busy construction site as well as studying on a block release basis to achieve a level 3 apprenticeship qualification. Capturing the knowledge and experience of a qualified craftsperson to understand the trade, your daily tasks will include, but not limited to installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical pipework services.
Main Accountabilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the below
As a Modern Apprentice you will work alongside an experienced tradesperson to gain experience in the following areas:
* Work indoors and outdoors and be prepared to sometimes work at height.
* Working with a mentor & supervisor but also an ability to rely on their own initiative.
* Be prepared to travel away from home.
* Develop good working relationships with people.
* Read both building and engineering drawings.
* Understand pipework installation drawings and schematics.
* Select (within limits) materials and equipment.
* Test and commission mechanical installations.
* Diagnose and rectify faults
* Write reports.
You will attend college on a block release basis and work towards a Level 3 Building Services Engineering Craftsperson (Mechanical Pipefitter)

Qualifications:
* To be considered for this apprenticeship you will need to have achieved a Grade 4 or C and above in Maths and English
You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject.
