We are looking for a new Client Care team member to join our busy, independent, family-run practice. We provide small animal veterinary care for cats, dogs and small mammals. We are proud to be the only practice based in Stafford to offer on-site emergency consultations twenty-four hours a day for our registered clients.
Our veterinary practice is a modern, newly refurbished building in beautiful green surroundings with well-equipped facilities.

Job description:
* Greet clients in a confident, friendly, and professional manner.
* Manage the appointment booking system on the practice management system for both medical and surgical cases.
* Answer and make telephone calls with a high level of customer service, taking accurate messages where appropriate.
* Create, and reply to, practice emails in an efficient manner.
* Action internal and external communications ensuring they are processed or redirected to the appropriate department or team member.
* Process payments in an accurate and secure manner, and show awareness of financial control within the practice and follow up with clients for outstanding payments.
* Discuss pet insurance and advise clients on our claim processing protocols.
* Advise clients on vaccination, neutering and flea and worming protocols.
* Process requests for repeat medications in line with current practice protocols.
* Process orders and sales of prescription diets, and maintain accurate stock replenishment of reception products.
* Provide first point of contact advice relating to pet exports and health certificates before redirecting to an appropriate Veterinary Surgeon.
* Arrange incoming and outgoing referral appointments ensuring all paperwork has been completed within the relevant time frame.
* Discuss end of life care including euthanasia and cremation services.
* Maintain the highest professional and ethical standards in line with current veterinary legislation.
* Maintain a clean and tidy reception area by completing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning logs.
* Support the business with a range of administrative duties reasonable to your training and qualifications.
* End of day practice management and banking duties.
About the rota and salary
The role is full time, approximately 22 hours per week, with flexible hours required within our business hours of 07:45am – 12.30pm and 2.45pm - 7.00pm, Monday to Friday, plus 1 in 4 Saturday shifts 7:45am – 12:45pm.
The starting salary for this position is £11.50 per hour increasing to £13.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
