Cranleigh STEM has partnered with a renowned manufacturing company that designs and manufactures superconducting electromagnets for science and is now recruiting for a Test & Installation Engineer to join their team in West Sussex. As Test & Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for testing magnets, performing leak testing and completing QA documentation. The successful candidate will possess a technical background in engineering and ideally bring relevant test and installation experience. Test & Installation Engineer responsibilities To be responsible for testing superconducting magnets To perform vacuum leak testing, calibrations, setting up equipment, cooling the magnet to liquid helium temperature. Completing all QA documentation and customer acceptance criteria Liaising with the design engineers to ensure all tests are completed satisfactorily Final checks and customer acceptance Test & Installation Engineer requirements Degree level qualification in Electronics, Physics or Engineering – high desired. Experience testing and installing high-tech equipment. Ability to work for extended periods with little to no supervision Proficient with the use of power and hand tools Proficient in the reading and understanding of technical prints and drawings Proficient in documentation of assembly process Ability to discuss technical issues at all levels £Comp excellent company benefits Testing/Engineering/Installation/Magnets/Production/Manufacturing
