Days and Hours of Work: 42 hours per week/ Monday-Friday & 2 Saturdays per month
Reports To: Branch Manager
Job Purpose:
To always deliver the highest levels of customer service and a culture of excellence with the Branch.
Key Accountabilities:
1. To identify and pick stock items for customers in a timely manner.
2. To load and deliver products in a timely and professional way.
3. Maintain an excellent relationship with customers.
4. Maintain accurate records of sales and deliveries.
5. Control stock levels and inform the manager when stock is required.
6. Maintain good condition of the branch vehicle by checking and reporting concerns when required.
7. Ensure banking is completed daily, and all cash is deposited or secured at close of business in accordance with company procedures.
8. Where appropriate, delegate responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
9. Provide cover in the absence of the Branch Manager.
10. Support the Branch Manager in ensuring staff meet or exceed all activity standards required and the Branch is staffed at all times.
11. Support the sales and marketing plans of the business.
12. Support the branch action plan and ensure the branch maintains existing business & obtains new business.
13. Assist in the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans of the business.
14. Liaise and cooperate with all work colleagues within the company, group, and wider Epwin community.
15. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
16. Assist in training and performance reviews and support the team to develop.
17. Contribute to the culture where standards are of the highest standards, maintaining good housekeeping within the branch.
18. Carry out activities in line with safe systems of work as well as using personal safety devices in line with work type.
Key Experiences and Skills Required:
1. Experience of working in a trade environment.
2. Experience of customer service.
3. Demonstrate the highest levels of customer service.
4. Experience of dealing with cash.
5. Full driving license.
Desirable Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
1. Good local knowledge and knowledge of the local road system.
2. PC literate.
3. Able to listen and follow instructions.
4. Ideally some knowledge of the construction industry.
5. Able to work well within a close team environment.
6. Experience of managing a team.
