We are seeking a passionate and creative Social Media Executive to join our team and lead the planning and execution of social media activity to support our brands. The role will work with the Social Media Manager and closely with the Divisional Marketing teams, playing a hands-on role in bringing the marketing objectives to life through content plans that build awareness and drive customer engagement.
Greene King is one of the largest pub companies in the UK operating over 2,000 pubs across its leased and managed estate under national brands such as Hungry Horse, Flaming Grill, Farmhouse Inns, and Wacky Warehouse.

Job Description
9 Month FTC
Your role as a Social Media Executive
* Work with the Pub Social Media Manager to define the social media plans to deliver against the marketing goals and objectives, including content ideation and planning through to implementation.
* Collaborate with the marketing teams to develop quarterly content plans that align social media efforts with broader marketing initiatives.
* Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all social media platforms.
* Plan, develop and execute content calendars for owned brands, aligned with their distinct voices, visual identity, and target audiences.
* Manage agency partners to produce social-first content suitable for a range of different platforms, as well as working closely with the marketing & creative teams.
* Work closely with the Social Media Manager and Marketing teams to ensure alignment with the brand proposition and creative approach to social activity.
* Schedule and publish via our social media tool Sprinklr.
* Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across each platform, including follower growth, engagement, engagement rate, and reach.
* Recommend data-driven adjustments to optimize content performance.
What you'll Bring....
* Experience operating across multiple brands, be a self-starter, have a proven track record of bringing brands to life through social media, and ideally have experience in creating content for all key social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
* Deep in-platform knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
* Previous experience in planning and creating content for social media purposes.
* Previous experience of working alongside agencies (briefing, management).
* The ability to measure and review social media campaigns and activity.
* A strong communicator that can adapt for audiences of varying degrees of knowledge.
