Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths teacher to join our team at a secondary school in Newcastle.
This school is seeking applications from Maths specialists to support key stage 4 students on a 1-1 or small group basis. The successful candidate will share those high aspirations, build excellent relationships and work with colleagues to provide steppingstones to success.
If you are the person we are looking for, you will have a proven track record of effective teaching or tutoring in Maths, excellent behaviour management skills, an awareness of policies and other guidance on safeguarding and wellbeing, and the interpersonal skills to challenge, inspire and motivate students to enable them to achieve their potential regardless of the barriers they face. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and experienced teacher with experience working with students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
The ideal candidate will be QTS qualified and have experience working with class sizes of up to 30 students. They will also have experience planning and organising lessons that are engaging and follow the curriculum specification.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE
* UK Teacher Qualification with QTS
* Enhanced DBS certification or willingness to obtain one.
* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Maths or a similar field.
* Class control and behaviour management skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Teaching classes of up to 30 pupils.
* Have vast knowledge and understanding of the mathematics curriculum.
* Assess and monitor students’ progress across the academic year.
* Encourage and motivate the learning of the pupils.
* Prepare and implement lessons to a high standard.
