Conrad Consulting are pleased to be working with a fast growing Architectural practice part of a wider Construction group, seeking to appoint multiple Project Architects to their team in Newark, Nottinghamshire.
THE PRACTICE:
The company in question have been established for close to 20 years as a standalone Architectural practice, but have recently joined a wider Construction group that employ over 170 people, who are propelling the practice into new areas and lands of opportunity. Currently a small-ish team of 10, the practice have plans to double that headcount by the start of 2026, starting here with the appointment of at least 3 Project Architects to their team.
The practice work in a wide range of sectors and project types but tend to work in Residential, Local Authority and Commercial projects, ongoing throughout the Midlands and wider UK. Project values tend to range up to £50m in value but can often exceed that. Project Architects joining this practice will need to be able to demonstrate a diverse portfolio encompassing various sectors to be suitable for this role.
Long term the company are moving to become an Employee Owned Trust, with people joining the business before March 2025 being offered first refusal for shareholder offerings.
The Project Architects for this role will be encouraged to progress quickly through to Associate level, which is anticipated by mid 2025 for Architects joining the business in December/January.
THE POSITION:
The Project Architect role will see you working in a broad range of project types but with particular focus on sustainable Residential architecture, local authority work such as schools and civic buildings, and commercial projects such as supermarkets and retail units.
Although the practice is relatively small at the moment, the long term plan is to grow a team under each Project Architect joining the business, which means it would be ideal if you have prior experience of leading projects while managing a small team of Architects & Architectural Assistants.
AutoCAD & Revit software are used throughout the practice so proficiency in these packages is essential for this role.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. UK recognised qualifications at Part 1, 2 & 3 level
2. ARB registered/ RIBA chartered
3. At least 2-5 years of industry experience, obtained post qualification
4. AutoCAD & Revit software proficiency
5. Ability to run and manage projects with minimal supervision
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
Salary in the region of £36,000-£42,000
37.5hrs per week, core hours being 8.30am-4.30pm
25 days annual leave, increasing incrementally for time served beyond 2 years
