Overview
London Borough of Harrow is looking for a Senior Social Worker to provide a high-quality and effective social work service.
This role will encompass a blend of leadership, management, and direct casework. Responsibilities include managing a small, complex caseload while assisting the team manager with the supervision and development of the team. The postholder will also contribute to the management of the team’s budget through effective quality assurance of support plans, ensuring cost-effective service delivery. Additionally, they will play a key role in achieving key performance targets within the team and advising the team manager on any barriers impacting service delivery.
The team comprises two Senior Social Workers, seven Social Workers, and one Care Manager. The team is transitioning towards the Adult MASH models. Our friendly, supportive Safeguarding teams work in a creative and solution-focused way to keep vulnerable adults and children safe. The team is highly supportive and uses a relational practice approach. Colleagues within the teams describe them as their ‘work family.’ Managers within the teams are approachable and supportive.
The position involves visits in the community, such as to users' homes, registered care homes, hospitals, and other organisations' premises. Some occasional unsocial hours are required, such as evening visits.
Please note this role is part-time, 18-hours per week.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* A social Worker qualification and hold qualifications, such as CQSW, DipSW/HE, BA in social Work or MA/MSC in Social Work.
* You must be registered with Social Work England.
* Hold the Practice Educator qualification.
* Educational attainment to degree level or equivalent or has the equivalent relevant work experience.
* A minimum of two years post qualification experience in a social work role.
