You will be responsible for developing digital products and propositions, in order to transform the way our customers interact with us. This role will focus on exploring new opportunities, defining product and capability roadmaps, and influencing strategy. You will lead the way in driving the development of digital products that meet customer outcomes and our end-user needs in our Defence, Civil Aviation and Transport product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong product management background, a deep understanding of digital experiences and a passion for effective delivery. Working as part of the Services Extended Leadership Team, you will report to the Associate Director of Product Delivery. Your key duties: Take the lead in shaping, driving, and implementing digital development, delivery, and execution that transforms the customer and user experience. Lead and manage the Defence, Civil Aviation & Transport Product Team, offering strategic leadership and direction to enable the delivery teams to meet their objectives. Manage demand planning, forecasting, budgeting, supply planning, and prioritisation of activities within the team. Define, lead, and continually monitor all product activity delivered by the team, ensuring adherence to an appropriate and effective delivery methodology, quality standards, and architectural principles, as well as the delivery of business goals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement in delivery approach, technology choices, and execution. Champion and embed Agile delivery methodology, UCD, Service design, Lean, and other key drivers of Digital culture. Utilise cutting-edge technology solutions, proactively improving the Met Office's delivery tools and processes, by challenging, innovating, and evolving the status quo. Liaise effectively and manage one-to-one relationships as required with the Management Team, Product Owners, and stakeholders.
