Ward 23 is an Elderly Orthopaedic Ward. The duties of the healthcare assistant will involve caring for patients, ensuring standards of care are met with dressing, washing, bathing, and assisting at meal times. Care activities must be recorded and documented correctly.
Main Duties of the Job
The healthcare assistant will assist the qualified nurse in providing a high standard of care for patients on the ward. Responsibilities include involvement in patient rehabilitation, assisting with mobilising patients, pressure area care, monitoring patients' skin, and completing documentation of care.

Person Specification
Qualifications / Professional Registration
* Knowledge of care and related procedures, clinical observations, and relevant legislation
* Completion of a competency-based programme or equivalent relevant experience
* Level 3 qualification in a healthcare-related subject or a portfolio of equivalent demonstrable experience
Experience and Knowledge
* Previous care experience in a health or social care setting
