1:1 Tutors - Redcar areas
Salary: £20-£25 per hour - Pay rate is dependent on experience and qualifications
Protocol Education are currently recruiting experienced and motivated tutors who can confidently support secondary students that have been Permanently Excluded (PEX).
Responsibilities:
* Providing personalised tuition sessions either in the students’ home or a community hub, such as a library, helping them re-engage with their education, develop their skills and achieve their potential.
* Working with students who have a range of needs (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Challenging behaviours) and learning abilities.
* Delivering tuition on a 1:1 basis across Mondays – Fridays (2-3 hours per day, per tuition session with multiple opportunities available) within the Redcar areas.
You will need to be Teesside based and ideally a driver due to the tuition locations.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent; or a Teaching Assistant with previous tutoring experience.
* Previous experience of planning lessons.
* A strong grasp of the UK curriculum.
* The ability to work in 1:1 and small group settings.
* Great communication and behaviour management skills.
* Reliability and commitment to delivering engaging lessons.
Roles & responsibilities for tutors include:
* Planning and delivering tailored programmes that complement ongoing class work, learning objectives and assessment plans along with the class teacher.
* Delivering tuition face-to-face or online (or both) and adapting the content, style, and format of the tuition to ensure the most effective results are achieved.
* Building strong relationships with pupils and school contacts through session delivery, weekly review meetings, tuition progress reports, and feedback.
To be considered for the position of Tutor, you will:
* Be a Qualified Teacher, hold a degree level qualification in a relevant subject, or have experience working in a similar environment.
* Have a minimum of six months tutoring or teaching/intervention/SEND experience with excellent references.
* Be committed to planning, delivering, and reporting on high-quality, impactful tuition that engages your students.
