Job Title: Catering Unit Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5/7 Days
Salary: £30,898
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Catering Unit Manager to oversee and manage the catering services at our prestigious private hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring that all food safety, nutritional, and dietary standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, manage, and motivate a team of catering staff to deliver excellent food service.
2. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and meal service.
3. Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP, COSHH) and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
4. Work closely with dietitians to create menus that meet patients' specific dietary requirements.
5. Manage stock control, budgeting, and cost-effectiveness to ensure a profitable catering service.
6. Maintain high levels of customer service, ensuring all meals are delivered efficiently and meet the needs of patients, staff, and visitors.
7. Implement continuous improvement initiatives in line with the hospital's standards and patient care goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare or hospitality setting.
2. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, COSHH, and dietary requirements.
3. Leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
5. Budget management experience and an ability to work within financial constraints.
6. A passion for providing nutritious, well-balanced meals that enhance patient recovery and staff well-being.
