Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with 6-10 years of experience in the fit-out, construction, or M&E industry. The ideal candidate will have strong client-facing skills, ensuring excellent communication and relationship management throughout project delivery. A proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion while maintaining strict adherence to health and safety (H&S) standards is essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Act as the primary client liaison, managing expectations and maintaining strong working relationships.
3. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and risk assessments.
4. Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting audits and implementing best practices.
5. Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring smooth coordination and progress.
6. Monitor project costs, procurement, and resource allocation to ensure financial control.
7. Conduct regular progress meetings with stakeholders and produce detailed reports.
8. Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project timelines or quality.
9. Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and company policies.
10. Problem-solve and proactively address challenges to keep projects on track.
Skills & Experience Required
1. 6-10 years of experience in project management within the construction, fit-out, or M&E sector.
2. Client-facing experience, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Recognized Health & Safety certification, such as SMSTS, NEBOSH, or IOSH Managing Safely.
4. Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Strong knowledge of contract management, cost control, and risk management.
6. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
7. A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong leadership and decision-making skills.
8. Experience working with subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
9. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
