Enterprise Architect (Data/Information) - £800p/d outside IR35 -12 Months contract - Hybrid working based in Kent Purpose of the Role : The role focuses on designing, managing, and evolving the organisation's Information Architecture, including the development of data strategies, conceptual and logical data models, and frameworks. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to align business and technology objectives related to information management. A key aspect of the role involves preparing for the transition to a permanent Data Architect position, which you will actively support during your tenure. Key Responsibilities Develop and govern enterprise-level information models, including conceptual, logical, and physical data structures. Define and maintain data element standards, ensuring alignment with business requirements. Partner with transformation projects to design platform-specific data models and strategies for migrating legacy system data to new technology solutions. Create a comprehensive Data Strategy that addresses data lifecycle management, governance frameworks, and an operating model. Collaborate with internal teams to leverage data as a strategic asset, delivering business insights and value. Ensure data compliance, quality, and risk management by aligning deliverables with organisational governance standards. Advocate for the adoption of modern technologies such as AI and ML where applicable to enhance data-driven decision-making. Drive the development of a data-sharing ecosystem across the organisation to deliver synergies and operational efficiencies. Provide technical consultancy on the Data Strategy to various stakeholders, including leadership and third-party partners. Facilitate the smooth transition to a permanent Data Architect role by delivering a structured handover. Person Specification Experience : Significant experience as a Data Architect, Data Modeller, or Analyst in enterprise-level environments. Expertise in developing and implementing data strategies, governance frameworks, and security measures (e.g., GDPR compliance). Experience with large-scale data transformation projects and modern digital ecosystems. Knowledge of data lifecycle management, including acquisition, governance, and value realisation. Skills & Competencies : Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Effective communicator, adept at presenting complex concepts to various audiences. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in high-pressure environments. Collaborative team player with a strong focus on achieving organisational goals.
