Job Title: Quality Manager – Construction
Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Manager to oversee and implement quality assurance and control practices across our construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure all works are completed in compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and client expectations while promoting a culture of continuous improvement on-site.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and associated procedures.
*
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards and regulations.
*
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify quality performance and identify areas for improvement.
*
Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and work procedures.
*
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams on all quality matters.
*
Lead Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes.
*
Ensure timely closure of NCRs and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
*
Prepare and present quality reports and KPIs to senior management.
*
Support the training and development of site staff on quality standards and best practices.
*
Foster a “right first time” culture throughout the project team and supply chain.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
*
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. (Not essential)
*
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a quality role within the construction industry.
*
Proven experience on large-scale construction projects (e.g., infrastructure, commercial, or industrial builds).
Technical Skills:
*
Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and regulations.
*
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality frameworks.
*
Proficient in quality management systems (QMS) and digital reporting tools.
*
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Soft Skills:
*
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
*
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
*
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Desirable Qualifications
*
Membership of professional bodies such as CQI, ICE, CIOB, or equivalent.
*
Internal or lead auditor certification (ISO 9001).
*
Experience with Lean Construction or Six Sigma methodologies.
