We’re looking for a driven Project Officer to join our fantastic team based in Derby City Centre. The Property and Consultancy Services department plays a key role in our organisation, by providing compliance, maintenance, and capital project services on the Council’s vast and diverse property portfolio.

The Opportunity
In the role of Project Officer, here are some examples of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
* Ensure all the department’s capital projects/programmes are managed in accordance with the Council’s project management methodology and procedures.
* Carry out regular audits on SharePoint to ensure all projects have the necessary project documentation at each stage, in accordance with the Council’s project management methodology.
* Review project financial, outcome and output performance against agreed targets.
* Ensure project data is recorded in our internal Property Asset Management database, carrying out audits to evidence good practice and to identify development and improvement opportunities.
* Support Project Managers and Senior Managers in the capital quarterly monitoring process by gathering, collating, and analysing project data from both internally and externally funded projects, writing reports where necessary.
* Lead on the management and delivery of distinct work packages within larger complex projects, working with internal and external technical experts.
* Produce reports and communication material to brief Senior Management.
* Develop and implement methods to capture client satisfaction. Analyse the data and report on areas for improvement.
* Share good project management practice and motivate others to engage in these processes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have...
* Experience of working on multiple projects.
* Experience in implementing project management methodologies.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Great organisational skills with good attention to detail.
* Good level of IT usage (such as Microsoft 365).
* Excellent time management skills, being able to prioritise and meet multiple deadlines.
* High degree of professionalism, inclusivity, and confidentiality.
