Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious Senior Principal Designer/Senior Health and Safety Construction Consultant to lead and shape a diverse range of projects in Scotland. Please note, that we will be accepting and considering applications from candidates based in Scotland or in the North of England, but your base office will need to be listed as 'Glasgow' and travelling to Glasgow will be required on an average of 2 - 4 times a month. Therefore, it is important that you are able to commute to Glasgow on this basis from where you are located.
Due to the nature of the role, we would also love to have someone with great networking abilities, who can make a real positive impact in the region.
Our excellent teams work on a wide variety of schemes as part of a multi-disciplinary practice, delivering principal designer and CDM services for a growing list of clients. As a senior member of the team, you will be able to add real value and impact within the business. A huge part of the role is delivering services to our clients with the help of your expert knowledge. You will be contributing to business development, ultimately being the driving force in helping move the discipline forward within the industry.
Within the role, you will be in full control and have ownership over your projects; providing you with a great level of autonomy. You’ll become part of a business with an excellent reputation in the industry for client care and quality with a diverse range of industry experts for you to collaborate with and learn from. About You
Our ideal Senior Health and Safety Consultant must have:
* Comprehensive knowledge of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015
* Healthcare sector experience due to the nature of the projects
* A security clearance due to the sensitivity of the projects
* Practical experience in managing or providing dedicated CDM / H&S advisor services/role
* Experience in either construction site safety or design (Architecture, Engineering, Surveying etc.)
* NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety preferred (or equivalent)
It would be nice for you to have:
* Professional qualification in a construction, engineering, building surveying or building services discipline
* Recognised membership of a proven Health & Safety organisation
* An excellent self-motivated, friendly, efficient, and enthusiastic attitude
* Achieved/Working Towards: NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Diploma, NVQ L5. Design / Construction Degree
