Logistics & Fleet Manager Location: Edinburgh Salary: 36,000 - 40,000 per year Job Type: Full-time, Permanent We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Logistics & Fleet Rental Manager to join our team in Edinburgh. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in inventory management, with a willingness to expand their expertise into logistics. Comprehensive training will be provided, making this a fantastic chance for professional growth in a dynamic environment. Day-to-day of the role: Oversee the daily operations of the rental fleet, ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and ready for re-hire. Manage yard health and safety and conduct training for yard staff. Handle the loading and unloading of shipping containers. Manage the return, inspection, and maintenance of the rental fleet. Conduct quarterly stock takes and assist in the development of new systems to support company growth. Coordinate activities of the yard team and provide backup support for the Logistics Manager. Issue Certificates of Conformity and manage bookings for UK and international air freight and sea freight shipping. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in inventory management, particularly with bulk items. Experience in handling large quantities of heavy equipment is highly advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team positively. Excellent organisational skills and a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in relevant software applications. A valid driving licence is essential.
