Applications are invited from current senior academics (Grade 9 and 10) in the Faculty of Business, University of Leeds, who are interested in holding this important leadership role.
Working with the Pro Dean for Research and Innovation alongside key academics and stakeholders, you will play an important strategic role in providing clear vision and leadership of the delivery of a research and innovation strategy that supports the Faculty Academic Plan and the University Strategy.
Proactive engagement of staff with the research and innovation strategy and facilitating links between academics and external organisations such as research councils will be essential. Your role will also require you to build a coherent and integrated culture of teamwork across the Faculty’s academic departments and research centres, and, in collaboration with the Director of Research Impact, deliver the strategy for research impact. You will promote and facilitate the delivery of research of the highest quality throughout the Faculty, fostering an inclusive research culture and building a vibrant and sustainable research environment that contributes towards REF2029.
Please note that the closing date for applications is 14 March 2025. The post is available from 1 June 2025 but there is flexibility around the starting date and arrangements dependent on the existing workload commitments of the successful applicant. It is anticipated the successful applicant would be able to take up the position fully from 1 August 2025.
