Assistant Buyer Role Overview We are seeking detail orientated and proactive Assistant Buyers to join our procurement team. The successful candidates will assist in the purchasing of various construction related materials, ensuring cost effective and timely procurement to support our operations, Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the procurement of various construction related materials. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate the offerings. Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts in accordance with company policies and procedures. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. Collaborate with internal departments to understand their utility needs and ensure timely fulfilment. Assist in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals. Support the Senior Buyer/Procurement Manager in various administrative tasks and projects. Skills and Experience Word, Excel, D365 (not essential). Experience of civils, utilities, and/or M&E supply chains (preferred). Previous experience in procurement or a related role (preferred). Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and strong organisation skills.
