Job description
Role purpose
1. Quality Engineer compliance programme, in order to ensure adherence to internal, statutory, regulatory and customer requirements.
Core competencies.
2. Experienced lead internal auditing to recognised aerospace standards
3. Proven Quality experience operating in a Aerospace, Defence or AS9100 environment
4. Professional conduct, engaging manner and good communication skills
5. Proven background in maintaining of Quality Management Systems
6. Planning and Scheduling of Audits Internal and in the Supply Base
7. Good, clear communication skills for reporting on audit findings
8. Drive to effectively close of Internal Audit Non-Conformances.
9. Excellent root cause analysis and corrective action understanding
10. Attention to detail and methodical approach
11. Ability to use databases to record audits and status
12. Self starter, able to work un-supervised with a passion for process improvement
13. Further competencies will be provided via the competency matrix, and linked to the relevant job level
Key responsibilities
14. Planning and execution of internal audit program in order to ensure adherence to company procedures (cross-checking they meet AS/EN 9100, AS/EN9110, TickIT Plus, DAOS, EASA Part-21 & EASA Part-145 and associated Customer approvals
15. Knowledge of CAA (Civil Aviation Authority)
16. Conduct Internal Audits on a continual cycle in all areas of the business over a 12 month period.
17. Drive Audit non conformance investigations and associated root cause analysis activities
18. Schedule, track or report on Supplier Quality audits completed by the Supplier Quality Team.
19. Maintain, communicate and react to Quality metrics tracking to meet targets, and implementation of defined Quality improvement initiatives
20. General support as needed to the Business Management System process
21. Co-operate with management to meet the employer's legal duties and take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions
Qualifications and Experience
22. Degree qualified or equivalent
23. Thorough understanding of Defence and/or Aerospace Quality requirements.
24. Knowledge of CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) AND/OR EASA
25. Experience in Auditing to ISO9001, AS9100 and/or AS9110.
Key measures and milestones
26. Adherence to audit programme schedule
27. Non Conformance Management and root cause analysis close-out time.
