Job Overview
Join the Central Engineering Software Operations team as a Project Manager where you will lead delivery of software projects that help our partners’ build energy efficient Arm powered products. To be considered for this role, you will have a solid track record in software delivery management and experience in leading software projects using iterative / agile development methods. This could be in project management, but also as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Release Manager. Excellent interpersonal skills are a requirement, as is displaying confident leadership and a dedication to engage the team and drive your projects through to success.
Responsibilities:
You will:
1. Own and drive planning, scheduling, tracking, monitoring and reporting for your projects.
2. Motivate and drive teams to deliver to commitments.
3. Ensure project governance, and proactively drive project risks, change and dependencies to conclusion.
4. Have strong organisational skills, a can-do approach and be a collaborative member of the team.
5. Work closely with adjacent functional groups such as Engineering, Product Management, Legal and Operations.
6. Intentionally engage to develop and improve our processes and practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
7. Leading project delivery, preferably software projects in an Agile or iterative environment.
8. Strong communication and networking skills to be able to influence and collaborate with engineering teams, peers, senior management, and Arm partners.
9. A positive, can-do behaviour which is adaptive to change, resilient and eager to accept new challenges within a fast-paced high-tech environment.
10. Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams.
11. Proficient in the application of standard Microsoft Office tools.
'Nice to Have’ Skills & Experience
12. Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle, and of Project and Product Lifecycles.
13. Exposure to Open-Source Software.
14. Usage of supporting tools commonly used in Arm project management, Jira, Confluence, MS Project.
