This role is crucial for delivering high-quality housing advice and preventing homelessness within the community. THE ROLE As the Housing Options and Homeless Prevention Manager, you will oversee the Housing Options, Move-On, and Homeless Prevention service. Your key responsibilities include: Leading and managing the Housing Options, Move-On, and Homeless Prevention teams, ensuring effective performance and development. Delivering accurate, flexible, and responsive housing advice, including low-cost home ownership and preventing homelessness. Managing operational service delivery to meet performance targets and maintain a resident-first culture. Developing and implementing strategic improvements to enhance service delivery and meet corporate priorities. Building and maintaining relationships with private sector landlords and housing partners to secure suitable accommodation. Handling complex cases, including complaints and judicial reviews, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Overseeing budget management and financial monitoring for the service area. THE CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will have significant management experience in a similar role within housing or a related field. Additional requirements include: Proven track record in managing demand-led teams and complex case work. Experience with housing legislation, policy, and case management systems. Successful history of implementing innovative, cost-effective solutions and managing complex projects. Ability to manage budgets effectively and develop performance improvement initiatives. Strong skills in negotiation, project management, and cross-service collaboration. THE CONTRACT 6 months, potential for extension or temp to perm The pay range for the role is £34.00 to £36.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £28.99 to £30.69 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
