In this lovely hands-on role, you will be joining a long-established and renowned leader in the machine manufacturing industry.
With a team of 8 people, you will be overseeing and optimising manufacturing operations ensuring efficiency, quality and of course, continuous improvement. We need someone with a solid manufacturing and engineering background for this important role.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily plant operations
* Production planning, scheduling and execution
* Ensuring utilisation of resources
* Monitor and improve operations efficiency
* Lead and develop your team ensuring an open collaborative environment
* Identify areas for waste / cost reduction
* Promote Health & Safety as a culture
* Manage subcontractors and liaise with purchasing to ensure continuity of materials
* Contribute effectively to management meetings and be integral in setting and working to department budgets

What We’re Looking For:
We would like 5 years in a manufacturing / workshop production role; a machinery or engineering environment would be ideal. You will have the ability to question, challenge and improve the status quo. You will need to uphold a collaborative working environment and input into the business as a whole.
