The shift pattern for this post is Monday Thursday 8.30am 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am 4pm.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Visitor with current practice experience to join the Children and Families Health Visiting service in East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
We are fully committed to the key ambition and aims of Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC), to provide children and young people with the best possible start in life. The post holder will have good knowledge of The Promise and the Children and Young Peoples Act 2014 and be expected to work in collaboration with families, partner agencies and a range of stakeholders to deliver high quality, needs led, evidence based care within a designated caseload. The post holder will be required to utilise a strengths based approach to engage families and be able to identify risks and co-ordinate plans of care for children.
The successful candidate should be:
1. Experienced in the areas of caseload management, child protection, working with families presenting with complex needs and health improvement work.
2. Good communication and organisational skills, coupled with an ability to work within a team setting as well as independently, will be essential requirements of the post.
3. A Registered Nurse with current NMC and have a qualification in Health Visiting or Public Health Nursing.
The post holder will provide leadership across professional and organisational teams, with a focus on leading audit and quality improvement and promoting and supporting development within the service.
This post is based in Eastwood Health Visiting team at Eastwood Health and Care Centre but may involve working across the local authority to include Barrhead Health Visiting team.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
