We're currently looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our growing team, and support one of our blue-chip clients.
Responsibilities
Our Electronics and Embedded Systems Capability works on varied projects including distributed simulations, 3D visualisation and training environments, sensor processing and environmental and acoustic modelling. As Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you'll work with product and project teams on the design, implementation, test and integration of software artifacts to support the delivery of projects and products. Your day-to-day tasks will include the following activities:
Definition of Product and Lower-Level Software Requirements
Design of software components and interfaces
Implementation and testing of software
Integration of software within system/product
Diagnosis and remediation of faults identified within software
Mentoring and supporting junior developers within the team
Define and agree software work packages (scope, estimates, costs)
Define software elements of solutions to support bids and enquiries
Identification and mitigation of technical risks
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electronic engineering or related science subject or Equivalent Qualification coupled with Appropriate Experience
Membership of IET or equivalent Engineering Institution
Essential skills
Full-Lifecyle Software Development Experience
Requirement Writing - In DOORS or similar Tool
Marine Experience would be an advantage, but defence experience is the key requirement.
Communication Skills - Evidence of stakeholder engagement to ensure requirements satisfy all business areas.
Embedded Coding/Testing Experience in Embedded C, C++ etc
