On behalf of our Client, we have an excellent opportunity in the technical sales team of this rapidly growing business for an experienced Field-based Area Sales Engineer with a proven track record as a business developer and excellent salesman in the Electrical Control and Automation industry.
The Sales Engineer will be selling a full range of high-quality Industrial Control & Automation products, including PLC, Control Gear, Switchgear & Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, HMI, and Process Instrumentation. The role involves providing customised and packaged solutions into the OEM, End User, System Integrator, and Panel Builder markets across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, and Derby in the East Midlands.
While induction and ongoing training will be provided, the successful candidate will have sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry coupled with a record of sales success. A formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline is desirable but not essential; however, the ability to demonstrate your knowledge and sales skills is critical. Ideally, you will also have benefited from further career development training to enhance your sales skills.
You will be working to achieve defined sales targets and capable of developing a personal plan to meet your objectives by managing and further developing an existing portfolio of accounts, while constantly striving to identify new avenues of business. This is an external sales role requiring road travel, so flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business. Excellent attributes such as good organisational and communication skills, along with the ability to be an effective team player while enjoying a level of autonomy, are essential, as is capability with Microsoft packages.
