Support Worker
We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker, working with an outstanding rated domiciliary care provider serving clients in Cambridge City and surrounding area.
Position: Care / Support Worker
Salary: Starting at £12.35 per hour with enhanced rates for weekends. All travel time and mileage is paid.
Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas
Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available
** A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role**
About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care to clients within their own homes, working for an organisation rated as ‘Outstanding’ with the CQC. Your role is vital in supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals and maintain independence while ensuring their safety and wellbeing. You will have a full, paid for induction as well as being paid to train.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing personal care, including assistance with washing, toileting, and mobility.
* Preparing and cooking meals, as outlined in the care/support plan.
* Performing housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
* Supporting clients in decision-making and community engagement.
* Maintaining effective communication with clients, families, and care staff.
* Reporting changes in clients' conditions and adhering to care plans.
* Ensuring a safe living environment and handling client property responsibly.

About You:

Essential skills and qualifications include:
* A willingness to work towards the Care Certificate and attend mandatory training.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Empathy, warmth, and an understanding of care provision.
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent qualifications.
* Experience working in social care or supporting individuals with long-term conditions.
