Department: Support
Title of Post: SEND Assistant Administrator (Permanent)
Renumeration: £8,344 - £8, 756 Pro-rata (including the planned 2024 payrise)
Responsible to: SEND Administrator
Hours: 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year term time (+5 additional
days/15 hours)
The SEN Assistant Administrator may not take paid holiday during School term-time.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE
To provide an additional layer of support to the SEND Administrator to the
SENCO, SEN students and their parents in a broad range of operational areas as well as delivering small-group interventions
To support the SEND Administrator by:
• Liaising with teaching staff to ensure reasonable adjustments are implemented
• Assisting with collating SEN data to support referrals
• Ensuring SEN student files are kept up to date
• Setting up new Y7 and Y12 student files, to include liaising with students’ previous schools
• Archiving student files and keeping accurate records
• Assisting with providing evidence of exam access arrangements to FE and HE establishments
• Setting up and managing exam access testing for external assessor
• Completing census data in a timely manner
• Providing class notes / PowerPoints for SEN students as and when required
