As day-to-day Intelligent Customer lead for Physical Development (PDev) infrastructure on behalf of Head of Establishment (HoE). Develop strategies to meet building performance standards, ensuring maintenance and serviceability of PDev infrastructure is maintained through pertinent contracts, holding to account the primary contractors for delivery of relevant outputs.
As day-to-day Intelligent Customer lead for Cardiovascular and Strength Equipment (CVSE), Adventurous Training and Sports Equipment on behalf of HoE. Meet as a minimum standard scale of allowance, including a rolling 5 year equipment plan, exploiting all available funding opportunities.
Lead the development of an establishment PDev programme that meets establishment output requirements in consultation with the Warrant Officer Physical Trainer, and senior Physical Training specialist. This is to include the production of a termly programme of Grass Roots events across a full spectrum of PDev as far as is practicable.
Conduct accident investigations as assigned, including the timely and accurate completion of written reports. Act as “quality control” for assigned NLIMS reports, ensuring they are ready to be closed iaw establishment protocols.
Line manage workforce of the gym and pool staff Civil Servants ensuring the effective use of workforce capacity to meet business tasking required by the Royal Navy to achieve PDev output and maintain and upgrade the infrastructure required to support a large and diverse Naval Base population.
Complete any appropriate or related work as required by LM to meet the business need. This will involve holding a Civil Service HR account completing your own mandatory training and overseeing the mandatory training and appraisals required of the workforce.
Support the Secretary for the establishment Unit Health Committee. By overseeing calling notices, the minutes of each meeting and communicating with Royal Navy Health and Wellbeing. Act as Point of Contact for all matters regarding Health and Wellbeing, including the dissemination of Defence Health and Wellbeing guidance.
Develop and maintain the establishment Challenging Activities (CA) database, including list of suitable CA routes and CA qualified leaders. Liaise with Deployable Regional Unit (DRU) to meet CA activities.
Be the gymnasium and PDev outstations building manager supporting the Building Controller and custodians, including Health, Safety, Environmental Protection and risk management requirements as defined by establishment standing orders, and MOD Regulations.
